Amazon Opens New Customer Service Center

City of Huntington celebrates 200 new jobs at service center.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, Amazon.com, Inc. and the Huntington Area Development Council are celebrating the opening of the company’s 70,000-square-foot customer service center at KineticPark in Huntington, W.Va.

Amazon will create more than 200 full-time jobs and hundreds of seasonal jobs, with a total of 499 full-time jobs at the facility by the end of 2014.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said:

I want to thank Amazon for their continued commitment to the City of Huntington. This new state- of-the-art call center at KineticPark represents a significant investment in new jobs. Amazon’s new call center is the culmination of a process that was the catalyst for the development of KineticPark. I also want to thank our partners, the West Virginia Development Office and the West Virginia Economic Development Authority for their leadership and assistance on this project. Amazon is currently hiring for the new center. Positions include customer service support, as well as management roles in Customer Service, Human Resources, Training, and Information Technology. Amazon will be conducting a job fair on Monday, November 7th at 4 p.m. at its new offices at 500 Kinetic Drive, Huntington.
