Europa Worldwide Group’s IT team faced significant challenges in developing Europa Road’s new product, Europa Flow, marking their most demanding project to date.
The company invested £5 million in Brexit preparations, introducing LeoClear, a custom IT system to support their unique customs product.
LeoClear, developed over two years, manages customs clearance, duty & VAT payments, and features the customer portal LeoWeb, enhancing efficiencies and reducing paperwork.
To ensure LeoClear’s functionality, the IT team established 13 new external links with various customs systems and service providers.
Europa Flow, launched in January, streamlines exports to the EU on DDP terms, simplifying processes for EU importers by eliminating the need for a customs broker or import duty payments.
Paul Hinchley, Head of Software Development at Europa, highlighted the significance of LeoClear’s launch, emphasizing its role in enhancing operational efficiency and customer service.
Europa has introduced multiple Leonardo modules, such as LeoRoad and LeoFinance, to optimize various aspects of their operations, reflecting a commitment to efficiency and innovation.
The Leonardo suite, inspired by Da Vinci’s philosophy of simplicity, empowers Europa with in-house control over systems, driving improvements in responsiveness, efficiency, and scalability since its inception in 2016.
