Hello All,

I'm currently carrying out work for my organisation in respect of a UK Govt. standard- 'Customer Sevice Excellence'. Hopefully, I can get to know some of you on here and gain an invaluable insight in to, amongst other things, how your organisation meets the needs of your customers.

Hi there,
I work in the UK, and have been working on "putting the customer at the heart of your business" now for some 15 years plus. Over the last 18 months I've been working with the Environment Agency to look at how they can provide excellent customer service. If there is anything in particular you wanted to chat about do drop me a line, more than happy to help.

Regards

Colin

Hi Colin,

Thank you for your response.

Amongst other things, I am currently preparing a brief/ workshop for staff- as an initial introduction to the 'Customer Service Excellence' standard. Any tips on 'getting the message across' would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Terry

Terry,

When running sessions on introducing Customer Service we'll almost certainly start it with a story ourselves of a personal experience of good or bad customer service. We then ask other people to tell us their experiences. This is a useful icebreaker as everyone has a tale to tell, but most importantly it raises the point that we can all identify when we have good customer service in our personal lives, but for some reason it's not that easy to transfer it to work. So as people tell their stories we note down the key characteristics / behaviours. This list will then provide you with an excellent framework / check list in which to position the rest of the training. Hope that helps. If you need anything else just let me know.
