I am dealing with customer services and working in a telecom company. I need to reinforce the Service First Vision through different initiatives to develop Service culture in the true sense.
Can you please help me about practically doable suggestions/initiatives and ideas to strengthen the Service Vision culture?

Regards

At the time that my business unit was a fledgling, I conducted several away-from-the-office-over-lunch sessions where the entire team was charged with writing a mission statement to support the corporate vision, then developing objectives to support the mission. It worked very well because it was a small team at that time and everyone had a stake in it. It personalized the business for them.

The two-fer outcome was the ultimate growth of the team. As new members came on board, the 'founding' members trained in their new teammates, and they did so passionately. After all, it was THEIR work that they were supporting.

I also regularly publish achievements by individual members that support the overall vision, seek out external events that support the initiative (seminars, books, stage productions, etc.), and reward employees who continually strive for improvement.

Best wishes,
Karen

Hi sinsoul!
For setting up and developing a service culture one needs to generate and grow that within the organisation first.Once the fire catches within the heat is felt outside by the customers and they are in all praise...and believe me, unless your customers say that your organisation is an excellent service provider in its field of operation no wonder whatever Vision,Mission and objectives you set nothing is going to happen!!
Hence, the first objective is to set the fire within the top brass of the organisation. They need to demonstrate thru their actions that each of them really believe in 'Service First' and show others the path to walk through....
