Water Utility Fined Over Poor Customer Service

UK -- Water utility company Southern Water has been fined
20.3 million pounds ($40 million) for misreporting its customer service
performance levels and delivering poor service to its customers.
Utility regulator Ofwat stated that Southern Water had
misreported its customer service performance to the regulator and failed to
make compulsory compensation payments.
The company, which provides water and wastewater services to nearly 2
million households in UK, has also agreed to pay its customers compensation
for the poor service they received.
