Verizon to Open New Call Center in Albuquerque

Verizon Wireless, the large mobile phone company, plan to open a technical support call center in Albuquerque, NM, USA.

Albuquerque is already home to several other large call centers and it is expected that this new call center will create a thousand new jobs.

The new call center will be located on a site that was once to be used by a Kmart store. The Kmart store was never completed.

Verizon’s current call 500 call center employees also will be located at the site together with an estimated 1,000 new employees.

Salaries are expected to range between $30,000 and $40,000 a year.
