United Kingdom - Greater Manchester Police to wear name badges
Police officers in Greater Manchester will wear name badges
displaying name and rank in the future.
The move is part of the police force's commitment to customer
service. The badges will be worn by 8,100 officers and its 4,000
civilian workers.
Police officers are currently identified by a number on their
jackets, and this has come under fire recently following reports
of some officers not displaying them correctly.
