USA -- Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce put on
an Academy Awards-style show on Thursday to emphasize the importance of
customer service.
Titled the "Impeccable Customer Experience Awards" the awards were open
to all businesses who deal with local customers as well as tourists. The
event sold out with 400 ticket sold. The evening included a mix of
entertainment and presenters sharing customer service insights.
The organizers plan to make the I.C.E. awards an annual event and will
follow up with a year of seminars dedicated to improving customer
service skills.
