Midwest Airlines Earn Customer Service Award

Posted 2nd May, 2006
USA -- Midwest Airlines frequent flyer program – Midwest Miles -- received the Freddie Award for Best Customer Service at Thursday's 18th Annual Freddie Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles.

The Program of the Year award went to Southwest Airlines, with Midwest following a close second.

In addition to its first and second-placing, Midwest Miles earned third place for Best Member Communications, and fourth place in three other categories: Best Member Web Site, Best Elite Program and Best Award Redemption.

Randy Petersen, publisher of InsideFlyer magazine, launched the Freddie Awards in 1988. Consumers rank airline and hotel programs from their point of view and are considered to be the most prestigious consumer-generated awards in the industry.

This latest award reinforces Midwest Airlines reputation for customer care in the air - it has been named best airline 43 times since 1990 and Both Travel and Leisure and the Zagat Airline Survey have rated Midwest Airlines the best airline in the United States.
