M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Available

USA - Document management integrated with Dynamics CRM

Motive Systems will be demonstrating during Microsoft Dynamics Convergence 2011 on April 10-13, 2011 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Convergence is the premier Microsoft Dynamics event that serves as the meeting point for the Microsoft Dynamics customer and partner business community.

M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides professional document management that is tightly integrated with Dynamics CRM 2011 and Dynamics CRM 2011 Online, providing both on-premise and cloud-based solution options.

M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Online employs a sophisticated Web-services architecture and runs in the cloud so there is no need to purchase or configure a server, enabling quick startup while decreasing initial costs and the need for IT resources.

M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is also available as an on-premise solution for companies with massive amounts of documents that can make cloud storage impractical or expensive, or for those with specific security policies that require certain documents to remain stored behind the company firewall. For those who have not yet made the transition to Dynamics CRM 2011, M-Files also supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.

M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM improves the efficiency and productivity of teams using Dynamics CRM by organizing and managing customer-related documents such as proposals, contracts, presentations, sales collateral and email correspondence. Just tag any document to related records in Dynamics CRM, such as leads, opportunities, accounts, contacts, etc, and it’s then easy and fast to locate any important customer-related document directly from the Dynamics CRM user interface.

It’s also possible to access any document or Dynamics CRM record directly with the familiar Windows Explorer interface of M-Files right from the standard Save and Open commands in any Windows application without having to launch Dynamics CRM, and even when
offline.

“Documents are a key part of customer relationships,” said Dr. Petri I. Salonen, SVP of Microsoft Global Partnerships for Motive Systems. “For instance, a proposal or contract can initiate or formalize the relationship, however, document management is usually an afterthought in CRM systems.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM is revolutionizing how businesses of all sizes manage their customer relationships, but since CRM systems are not designed to handle documents, this critical aspect of the process often becomes cumbersome and inefficient, making the CRM system far less productive than it could be.

M-Files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM recognizes documents as integral components of the CRM system. This document-driven CRM approach results in increased productivity and maximizes the businesses’ investment in CRM, and we’re making it affordable and accessible to all Dynamics CRM users.”

“Helping our customers manage their information and relationships are key elements of our business,” said Scott Preszler, president of US-analytics a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner. “Efficiently managing documents and information as an integrated component of other applications such as CRM or BI is often overlooked, and it ends up limiting the ROI associated with these mission-critical applications.”

Bi-directional Connection Between Dynamics CRM, M-Files and Any Application on the Desktop

The interface between the two systems is bi-directional, so when customer information is added to Dynamics CRM, it is automatically replicated in M-Files, and can be tagged (or attached) to any document as a property of that document. Customer records can be viewed directly in M-Files without having to launch the Dynamics CRM, enabling fast access to customer information, directly from within any application on the desktop.

For instance, when creating a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, AutoCAD drawing, etc using the application’s standard save command, one can simply save directly to the vault and tag the document with an account, contact or lead, in the Dynamics CRM. Similarly, the M-Files document vault can be accessed directly within Dynamics CRM, and new documents can be saved directly to M-Files. Customer letters and proposals can be drafted quickly, and dynamic content from Dynamics CRM records can be inserted directly into Word or Excel document templates.

Connecting Dynamics CRM with Key Documents Boosts Team Productivity

Integrating M-Files with Dynamics CRM significantly boosts productivity by making all relevant documents instantly available. CRM software is well suited for managing and tracking customer interactions, however documents continue to play a key role in any businesses relationship. Whether it’s a presentation, proposal, contract, purchase order or invoice, a business interaction generally involves a document; something a CRM system is not designed to manage.

M-Files expands the functionality of any CRM system with fast, full-text search; version tracking; automated workflow; document check-in/check-out; and integration with document sources such as scanners and email systems. Key features include:

Bi-directional replication of Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts, and other objects between Dynamics CRM and M-Files
