Hewlett-Packard Win First Place For Customer Service

USA -- Hewlett-Packard has won two awards in the first annual Ten Best International Web Support Sites awards.

HP’s Customer Care web site situated in Boise, Idaho, USA won top place for its service to consumers, while its IT Resource Center site based in Mountain View, California won the top spot for providing technical assistance to customers.

The awards were presented by the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) and the Association of Support Professionals (ASP).

Other winners included Dell Inc., Intel Corp., McAfee Inc., ATI Technologies Microsoft Corp.,ViaTraining LLC and Xilinx Inc and Sony Corp.

The Customer Care Web site is managed by a staff of 50 is devoted to helping customers with questions about HP products, including personal computers, printers and digital cameras.

The site, which receives up to 30 million visits a month, is available in 16 languages in 70 different countries.

It provides diagnostic tools, software, drivers, patches, FAQ, user guides and more. Customers can also contact HP support agents via online chat, or by e-mail or phone.
