Continental Airlines Open European Call Center

Posted 31st March 2006

Continental Airlines have officially opened a new European Call Center.

The call center, located in the airline's new offices in Diegem, near Brussels' Zaventem Airport, handles telephone reservations for 11 countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The center employs 54 multi-lingual staff from across Europe who speak a total of nine languages.

Present at the opening ceremony were Martin Hand, Continental's Staff Vice President Tom Korologos, U.S. Ambassador to Belgium, and Jim Summerford, Continental's Vice President Europe, Middle East & India.

From May this year Continental will be serving 28 cities in 15 countries in Europe, the Middle East and India. The new call center is part of their aim to offer reservations to customers in their native languages.

Continental has built a reputation for personalized customer service based on making the booking process as simple as possible, in the language of the customer's choice.

The airline is based in Houston, Texas, and is the 5th largest airline in the U.S. and the 6th largest in the world.
