British Airways To Close Caribbean Call Centres

by CSM Reporter

UK -- BA has decided to close all of its call centres in the Caribbean. They will be consolidated into its North American site in Jacksonville, Florida.

It is believed the move is due to a reduced demand for telephone reservations and an increase in bookings made online.

The Jamaican call centre located in Kingston, will close on 31 May and will be followed on 30 June by those in Barbados, Antigua and St Lucia.

The closures come shortly after BA announced the closure of of call centres in London and Glasgow in the UK and Toronto, Canada.
