Apple Close Customer Service Operations in India
USA - Apple have announced they are pulling back
plans for customer support operations based in India.
Despite double-digit annual growth rates for customer support
services, India will not be home to Apple’s future customer
service operations.
The company is pulling back from plans to establish an
enlarged customer support facility in Bangalore.
The customer service center, established in Bangalore in April
this year was launched with a staff of 30 and had plans to grow
to as many as 600 employees by the end of 2006.
The move follows the repatriation of some of the Dell and
Conseco outsourced operations to North America.
